Stateships building, now Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, Short Street, is claimed as having been saved by the Society—but only in a map in the early pages of the Davidson history—not anywhere in the text. In fact there is evidence in a brief note in the Fremantle Society newsletter in 1975, vol.3, no.2, that the Society was in favour in having the building removed from Pioneer Park, so that the whole block would serve as a green space for the people of Fremantle to enjoy.
